Plover migration starts tomorrow

Sally plover has been hard at work getting all the nestlings organized. Some are bringing food and others are bringing bevvys. Nesting materials are being brought as well including spare stuff for the overseas plover who is coming to town.

Yes, a special plover visit by Topper plover all the way from Dubai. Boy will his wings be tired.

Won't really be beach weather as it is only supposed to be in the 30s tomorrow with a little snow to start here. But I am sure the nest will be warm and dry and we will bevvys to keep us warm as well. Maybe make some Clyde steamers? Would have to get the Pres to stop and borrow a bottle of Glayva from PCC.

A pretty low key celebration for the Old Barny relighting from what we can find out. The light will go on automatically at dusk and they will have a piper playing. Will have to get some pictures for posting.

Plovers delay migration

The plovers will be in LBI for New Years and the relighting of Old Barny. Here is the best I could do to get some of the house pics off the web.

The hot tub is closed for the season but there is a bar and a pool table. Maybe I will bring a dart board. Or maybe not, drunk plovers and pointy objects might not be a good combination.

If this place works out, who knows, might be the new LBI CC headquarters.

Looks as though some plovers will be taking a Trip to LBI for New Years Eve and the lighting of Old Barney!! Geee maybe some Ninjas will have to plan an attack at a certain house...hmmmm

Final Plover result at the Harvest

Plovers Foxy, JP, Lulu and the Pres could not quite pull out a win in the final of the second event. It was a hard fought game and came down to last rock.

More importantly they did win the prize for best team costume on Saturday night. The theme was "Legends of Rock" so being the outside-the-box thinkers they came as Mt. Rushmore. Yep, complete with rock colored wigs, a complete granite casing and trees strategically placed to cover the beer. They posed for many pictures and will have those soon to post.

Sally plover in full plummage. Hopefully this is a temporary thing. If not her sales call with her President on Tuesday will be interesting.

Plovers win

Well the Plovers won a game today. They are on Saturday at 4:30. That means an early cocktail party at the hotel were everyone is staying. Lots of food and a few drinks.
